Our bylaws are Utah Soaring intergroup’s operating manual. This document formalizes how the intergroup functions to serve the local fellowship.
The bylaws define:
- The Service Board and how it will function
- Roles and duties of Service Board members
- Rules and procedures for holding meetings, electing the Service Board, and appointing Committee Chairpersons
- Other essential corporate governance matters
To vote at the World Service Business Conference (WSBC), each intergroup must be registered as per OA, Inc. Bylaws, Subpart B, Article VI, Section 2a). The registration process requires the intergroup have an approved set of bylaws.
Bylaws are generally not public documents but making them readily available increases accountability and transparency and encourages your trusted servants to pay closer attention to them.
