Notes on the Seventh Tradition
As OA’s Seventh Tradition states, “we are self-supporting through our own contributions.” The important thing to mention is that we only accept a helping hand from people who identify themselves as members of Overeaters Anonymous. OA members have a responsibility to keep our rooms open, provide opportunities for fellowship, and spread our message of recovery.
Please note that the Utah Soaring Intergroup is not recognized as a 501c3 organization. If you need your contribution to be tax-deductible, please contribute to OA World Service here: World Service Organization.
Intergroup makes it possible for groups to make their contributions via credit card through PayPal.
Utah Soaring Intergroup does break down your group’s contribution into a 60/30/10 split. We allocate 60% of your contributions to Utah Soaring Intergroup, 30% to World Service, and the remaining 10% to Region 3.
Please do not contribute any more than you can easily afford! Thank you for your generosity!
If you are a member who would like to give to the Utah Soaring Intergroup, please feel free to send us a contribution via PayPal. For making group Seventh Tradition contributions, please go to the intergroup business meetings page.
Your contributions will go to providing Utah-wide support for Overeaters Anonymous groups and events and getting the message of recovery to those who are suffering from this illness. Thanks again!
